Excellent Were-bear Novel
I just found out that one of my favorite horror books set in Michigan has been re-released. It's called Crooked Tree, and it's written by the Michigan native Robert C. Wilson (not to be confused with Robert Charles Wilson, the Science-Fiction writer). It has to do with the northern-Michigan bearwalker legend (a were-bear). For more info, check out:
Crooked Tree @ Amazon.com

Crooked Tree @ Univ. of Michigan Press

You can now find it at just about any book store.

JL,

This is one of my favorite books of all time!!! I read this when I was in the seventh grade (the scene with the mom and little girls was probably the best written horror scene EVER), and it left it's mark on me. I managed to snag a copy about a year ago from Amazon.

If any of you haven't read this, please do so. You won't be sorry!
